Hello, I am Yuan-Fang Lin from Taipei, Taiwan!

A Computer Science Master student at Columbia University, preceded by an illuminating B.S. in Electrical Engineering degree from National Taiwan University. My specialization and research experience focus on Machine learning, especially applied on Computer Vision. You may take a look on my Resume tag for more experiences I had, or download it here.

A Programmer

Though majoring in Electrical Engineering, I joined the Speech Processing and Machine Learning Laboratory to start my journey in Machine Learning. Supervised by Prof. Hung-Yi Lee, I got myself familiar with Semantic Analysis, Speech Processing and so on. Furthermore, I believe in multi-discipline and am inspired by the applications of Machine Learning on Natural Language Processing. Therefore, I started my research on Computer Vision with Deep Learning in Prof. Yu-Chiang (Frank) Wang's Laboratory. I hope that, one day, I may contribute to the technology world.

A Photographer

Apart from my research and teaching experiences, I am a keen amateur photographer, to be specific, a Shutterbug. I enjoy capturing emotions around me with lens, no matter happiness, sorrowfulness, or even craziness. The smiling faces of viewers are my biggest rewards and motivation to do photography. I am often hired to provide high-quality pictures for events or competitions. I recognize those pictures from me as invaluable memories, and hope that one day I can capture all the wonderfulnesses worldwide in my viewpoint to share to the society.
